Lasörlingtreck

In 3 days through the picturesque mountain landscape of the Lasörling Group

The hike starts in St. Jakob in Defereggen in the district "Außerberg". You hike through a uniquely charming mountain landscape of dark rocky peaks, bright waters and particularly colorful mountain flora. On the ascent over the sunny side, the view of the mighty mountains of the “Lasörlinggruppe” accompanies us. To the north is a former mining area, where there is also the opportunity to make a detour to the miners' houses. Via the flat high-altitude trail high above the Trojer Almen, the trail continues to the Neue Reichenberger Hütte. There, after a refreshment, you have the opportunity to climb the Hüttenberg, the towering Gösleswand (2,913 m).

Continue over the Rote Lenke, the Kleinbachboden and the Prägarter Törl to the Lasörlinghütte. The descent from the Rote Lenke leads through a wildly rugged area with large boulders to the Kleinbachboden and then uphill again to the Prägrater Törl. You can decide whether you are still fit enough to climb the Lasörling (3.098 m) or whether you want to descend straight to the Lasörlinghütte. If you dare to climb the summit, you will be rewarded for the arduous climb with a breathtaking view of the entire Hohe Tauern.

After the descent over the Glaurit you reach the end point of today's stage, the Lasörlinghütte.

The last stage of the tour takes you high up once again. Passing the Gumpenlacke, you reach the Speikboden above the Steinka valley. The view is magnificent: to the south you look over the Defereggental to the limestone giants of the Dolomites, looking north you can see the mighty, glaciated three-thousand-meter peaks of the "Venedigergruppe" above Virgen.
The hike continues along the ridge over the Donnerstein to Griften. Below you can already see the Zupalsee hut. After the last section from the Zupalseehütte to the Wetterkreuz hut, you can take a cab down to the Virgental.
