This tour of 4.6 kilometres length starts at the carpark of Schlossbergbahn in Lienz and passes by historically interesting Bruck Castle right away. Follow the tarmac road for a short section until a forest trail branches off. Featuring a convenient gradient this trail leads you all the way up to you destination on Moosalm (1012 metres above sea level). Here, the family-run Hotel Moosalm offer culinary highlights and refreshing beverages. Once you have arrived on Moosalm, you can either follow the challenging route of the Alban Lakata Trail back down into the valley or just drive down the route you have come on. For the most part, the entire route leads through scented woods that provide protection from the summer heat.
