Cosy comfort and hospitality
The Austrian part of Pustertal Valley lies between the peaks of the Villgrater Mountains, the Carnic Alps and the Sexten and Lienzer Dolomites, stretching from Brixen in South Tyrol to the Lienzer Klause in Leisach in Osttirol. Among the "Puschtran" in Osttirol, as the locals are popularly called, many things are still a bit more unhurried.
The Pustertaler Mountain Road winds for about 30 kilometres on the sunny slope of the Pustertal Valley from Abfaltersbach to Anras, from there to Assling, before heading downhill again to Leisach in the Bannberg district. The beautiful panorama of this tour, with a view over the Pustertal Valley and the surrounding mountains, is charming because it offers a completely different view than usual.
