In summer, the so-called Familiennestprogramm (family nesting programme) enjoys great popularity. Supervised attractive programmes are offered every week by pedagogically trained caregivers. The "Wichtelzug" (dwarf train) takes you to various adventure sites, such as the Wichtelpark or the Wonky-Tonky River, where adventurous treasure hunters wash gold and maybe even find it. For outdoor fans there are countless possibilities in Sillian anyway. The well-known and popular Drau Cycle Path runs along the refreshingly cool river banks through the market town. Beautiful lodges, such as the Sillianer Hütte or the Leckfeldhütte, invite you to a cosy retreat in lofty heights.
When winter has arrived in Osttirol and thus also in Sillian, the skates can be put on ice in several places in the village. Whether on one of the ice rinks in the village centre or in the ice arena in Sillian, the blades get used every winter. For skiers, the versatile ski resort Skizentrum Hochpustertal leaves nothing to be desired and offers plenty of variety on its varied slopes. If the snow conditions allow for, you can also look forward to a special offer in the Pustertal Valley: there is a cross-border trail to the few kilometres away - Italian - town of San Candido.
