The map of scheduled services gives you an overview of all scheduled bus and train services in Osttirol.
Osttirol is excellently served by public transport . From Lienz, the Drautalbahn goes west towards South Tyrol and east towards Carinthia, which means that many places in Osttirol can be reached directly by train. Lienz is also the hub for numerous buses that take you to all regions of Osttirol.
Use the public transportation also for your undertakings. This allows you to start at one place and return from another for hikes, bike tours, winter hikes or ski tours.
The section with information on the free use of public transport with the guest card includes all timetables for scheduled bus services in Osttirol, for public transport in Lienz and for the dial-a-ride taxi service.
To make sure you’ve always got access to the latest information, we recommend that you download the VVT SmartRide app to your smartphone. It shows you your connections in real time, and also provides comprehensive details about fares, both full price and concessions. If you decide to make a journey on the spur of the moment, the app will show you the nearest stops, as well as arrival and departure times. It also contains information on park & ride facilities, bike & ride stations, drop-off spaces, car parks and rest areas.

The dial-a-ride taxi service uses the regular stops of the scheduled bus services or dial-a-ride collection points, but only on demand. Once ordered by phone, the dial-a-ride taxi service picks you up at the requested collection point (bus stop) at the time scheduled on the timetable and takes you to your destination, another collection point.
Taxis must be booked at least 60 minutes before your required pick-up time as listed on the timetable. Requests for early departure times must be made by 8pm the night before.
