For the sixth time, TVB Osttirol offers guests and locals the finest entertainment "between the holidays" in the old town of Lienz. The Dreikönigsmarkt on Johannesplatz has become THE meeting place during the Christmas vacations. Not least thanks to a great music program, varied culinary delights and fine market flair.
Live music with local bands can be heard daily from 5 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. on the Dreikönigsmarkt stage, until 10 p.m. on Bauernsilvester, December 30, and until midnight on New Year's Eve. There is also an Epiphany market train that runs through the romantically illuminated old town of Lienz on three days. From 3 p.m., the route leads from Johannesplatz to Rudl Duregger's old smithy, where passengers can admire the nativity scene or have lucky charms for the New Year forged. The Deliziosa ice cream parlor also provides hot drinks. The route then continues through Messinggasse and Franz-von-Defregger-Straße into Schweizergasse to the Freedom Fighter Monument at Gasthof Goldener Stern, where you will be treated to culinary delights by innkeeper Josef Mühlmann. Finally, the route leads via Schweizergasse, Egger-Lienz-Platz and Messinggasse back to Johannesplatz.
The market starts on December 29, 2024 and is open until January 6, 2025. The market is closed on New Year's Day.
