What can you expect from a park with this name? Correct – that your own “imps” will feel great. The word “Wichtel”, for all those who don’t know, denotes munchkin, imp or brownie. In this context it is intended for children, for whom Wichtelpark Sillian really does offer a lot. Certainly everything that a children’s heart craves. And it can even be said that enthusiastic parents too find Wichtelpark just as “cool” as their beloved little ones. Wichtelpark Sillian’s location is certainly no accident. Especially since Hochpustertal is described as the most family-friendly valley in Osttirol. The motto in Wichtelpark is precisely set up with this fact in mind – “Berge für Zwerge”. Children have their own bit of Osttirol here. And children have a park, where they can just be children.

New forest gnome trail in the Wichtelpark Sillian

That sounds like an exciting new attraction for the whole family at the Wichtelpark Sillian! The forest gnome trail with its 7 stations offers children and adults an entertaining opportunity to playfully search for and find the lost gnome treasure. If you find all the treasure and enter the right word on the map, you can look forward to a reward at the end of your adventure!

How did this come about?

Willi Wichtel, our Wichtelpark mascot, found a treasure in the valley. Out of sheer joy, he ran into the forest with it, but when he tripped over a large root, the treasure slipped out of his hands and is now scattered all over the forest. Can you help me find it again? You have to prove your skill, courage and other talents at various stations. Willi Wichtel has also prepared a treasure map to help you find your way.

The built-in puzzle element, in which the symbols collected at each station are put together to form a solution word, also puts the children's imagination, thirst for adventure and various skills such as courage, dexterity and teamwork to the test.

You can also stop off at the kiosk, where a forest stage is available for performances, because the family nest of Alta Pusteria is a creative place. The popular Drau cycle path runs right past the Wichtelpark.

Extensive work is currently taking place in the Wichtelpark Sillian for the construction of the new Wichtel village.

This means that some restrictions on the offer are to be expected.

Until mid-July, the prices listed below apply to the fee-based offers such as minigolf, forest gnome trail and high ropes course.

From 15 July, the following admission prices apply:

Single admission: 5.00 euros per person (children up to 3 years free)

Season ticket: 25.00 euros per person

Family season ticket: 60.00 euros per family

The entrance fee includes the use of the previously paid facilities such as minigolf and the Waldwichtelweg.

When using the high ropes course, the 5.00 euros of the day ticket will be deducted.

Attractions in the Wichtelpark

High wire park Sillian

The high ropes course adventure park is also located in the Gnome Park, inviting the entire family to an exciting journey of discovery in the natural forest. Challenges to courage and skills, fun tasks, extraordinary views and, first and foremost, lots of fun await! Experience the adventure space "Forest" from a new perspective!

8 different courses of various degrees of difficulty lead to heights of 1.5 to 8 metres. 65 elements and stations with 12 zip-lines on a total length of 850m require climbing, balancing, sliding and swinging across a wide range of rope and bridge structures.

After having been issued your gear, extensive briefing and completing a trial course, you can explore the park on your own. The park is accessible for children from 3 years (Gnome course) or a body height of 110 cm (medium course) or from 140 cm for the high course. Children up to 14 years only accompanied by an adult.

Included in the price: rental equipment (helmet, harness, via ferrata set, wheels); Safety briefing. The ticket is valid for 2 hours and is not transferable. Changes reserved!

The instructions of the caretaker are to be obeyed. Before entering the park, the conditions of participation must be read, completed and signed. It takes about 45-60 minutes to cross the red course. The use is limited to 120 minutes.

Minigolf in the Gnome Park Sillian

The Wichtelpark also has its own 18-hole minigolf course. So nothing stands in the way of an unforgettable afternoon. The minigolf course is open during the opening hours of the high ropes course and the ticket office at the entrance. Clubs and game logs are available at the ticket office.

Gnome Train

Our new stroll train, the "Gnome Express", takes the participants of our summer programme from the hotel to the different play grounds. Norbert and Engelbert drive the train. There's room for about 50 Children.

The Gnome Train can also be booked for events.

Gnome Water World by the Wonkey Tonkey River Heinfels

The idyllic, sunny location alone is a true insider's tip for families. On the great riverscape adventurers can build canals, send ships off to the high seas or embark on the search for the treasured gold nuggets. Sun worshippers will get their money's worth on the specially set up lounging area and the entire family can satisfy their hunger with a joint barbecue at the grill area.

Kiosk

Snacks are, of course, also available at the Wichtelpark (“gnome park”). In the kiosk, the host Wichtelwirt Erwin offers everything a child's heart desires, from soft ice cream to sausages and fries, drinks and small snacks.

BBQ area

The Wichtelpark Sillian also has a rustic grill oven. While the children scramble about on the play equipment, parents can use the opportunity to prepare lunch in a rustic charcoal grill. Please ensure to bring your own coal and wood. You can get the key for the grill from the Sillian information office, for a deposit of EUR 50.00. (Will be refunded if left in a proper state)

Wichtelmeile (“gnome’s mile”)

An easy fitness trail, which is located on the southern outskirts of Sillian, invites young and old to do sports. It leads from Gesundheitswelt Sillian to the ice arena and further along the edge of the woods to the Wichtelpark.
