Climbing gardens in Osttirol

There is scarcely another alpine region that has so many different types of rock within such a small area: from granite and limestone to gneiss and quartzite. Every consistency harbours its own challenges and requires a variety of climbing techniques. Within the mountaineering scene, word of this wealth of variety has already spread and raised climbing in the Osttirol variety of rock to a cult: three of the Osttirol climbing gardens are set out in granite with a total of 60 tours and 500 tours in soft limestone. Here climbers decide not only on the level of difficulty but also on the nature of the rock.
