The Staller Sattel with Lake Obersee is a popular destination. The impressive landscape, blooming alpine roses and the wonderful panoramic views of the wild nature of Hohe Tauern National Park make every visit to this area an unforgettable experience.
Staller Sattel is furthermore a mountain pass in the Eastern Alps. It links Defereggental (East Tyrol) to Antholzertal (South Tyrol). The road to Antholz is accessible from May to late November (only for cars and minibuses); in winter passing is not possible.
In the summer months, the pass is accessible all around the clock! Controlled by traffic light!

In the summer months the pass passage is 24 hours open! Traffic lights!
The passage to the Antholzertal is possible from minute 1 to minute 15 of every hour during the summer months.
The passage from Italy to Austria is possible in each case from minute 30 to minute 45.
The passage is allowed for minibuses with up to 9 seats.
Maximum length of 10 m and maximum height of 3 m - Tunnel!
