The Porzehütte (1,942 m) is located in the Dorfertal below the Tilliacher Joch in the Carnic Alps on the Carnic High Trail. The view of the surrounding mountains and the village is breathtaking. The hut is an important base for hikers on the Carnic High Mountain Trail. It is also a popular excursion destination for day trippers and mountain bikers. Only open in summer!

The ascent to the hut is from Obertilliach via the Dorfertal. Access by car is permitted as far as the lake Klapfsee. From there, the Porzehütte is also easily accessible for senior citizens and children via a gravel road (approx. 1 1/4 hours). Mountain hikers usually take the shortcut via the path (approx. 1 hour). Guests can look forward to delicious home cooking with Tyrolean, East Tyrolean and Italian influences, which can be enjoyed on the large sun terrace or in one of the cosy dining rooms (hot meals all day). We also offer overnight accommodation in the new, beautiful mattress dormitories. The renovated hut is the starting point for marvellous day tours, such as to the Porze (2,589 m), the Spitzköfele (2,314 m) or to the Val Visdende on the Italian side behind the Tilliacher Joch.
