Kartitsch Mountain Christmas

On December 28, Bergweihnacht is celebrated in Kartitsch. There, glassblowers, lucky blacksmiths, aroma workshops, and stalls with jams, cheese, felt and wool products, candles, or wooden figures await visitors.

In the living workshop in the community hall, you can watch craftsmen at work. A highlight from long past is the presentation of various traditional "carrying methods" for products from agriculture and forestry (such as hay carrying, wood carrying, manure carrying, basket weaving). These will be shown this year in front of the village square in Kartitsch. A colorful children's program (winter nature playground, fairy tales in the fairy tale forest, children's cookie baking workshop in the community hall) delights the hearts of the little ones.
